MS Computer Engineering Admission Criteria

At the time of admission, the students must have:

1. Sixteen years of schooling or a four years degree after F.Sc/Intermediate in Computer (Systems) Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or in any other related disciplines.

2. Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.0 in BS/BE/BSc or equivalent degrees. Student from annual system must have minimum score of 60 %. The percentage score will be considered only if the CGPA is not recorded/mentioned on the transcript.

3. The GAT-General conducted by the HEC approved testing services with a minimum of 50 % cumulative score will be required at the time of admission to MS (CE) program. The GRE subject test score is also to be accepted. The scores must be valid at the time of application.

*The candidates will be required to complete the deficiency coursework prior to the MS coursework to ensure the pre-requisite competency in Computer Engineering.

*The host institution may conduct its own test as an alternate to GAT-General. In this case, a minimum cumulative score of 60 % will be required.

*The deficiency coursework in MS (CE) program will be determined by the Department on the basis of the core courses of the BS (CE) degree. In special cases, it may exempt any student from completing specific deficiency course(s).
